Casey Burgess won the Seniors from Braiden Jewell and Shaun Turner. Juniors went to Darcy Auld, second Renae Brooksbank and can't remember third. Very well organised event and track was great. It was freezing though, froze the proverbials!!! Well done to Kellerberrin and to WAQMA.

I got a quick call from Juppy last night, Ashiton Jupp had a good run all day, but had car issues in the final, placing about 10th, Chris Hawes was running 2nd in the final, but ran wide and ran off the track, and couldn't get restarted, and Daniel Berry ran either 5th or 6th in the final.
Maybe Jen could fill us in abit more about Chris, as i was only told small things about the day.

If Chris Hawes was in 52, he was running fourth. when he ran off the track. I believe he had a steering problem and ran off the track to avert a problem for other drivers. Poor kid did not get restarted. What is the ruling here? I have been given various interpretations and I am now confused. Don't know how true it is but I was also told that the Chief Steward refused to accept a protest from the young fella.

Christopher's weekend, He threw a chain in the first heat Second heat got 4th Third heat got 2nd started in 12 in feature. 3 laps to go, and in 3rd place, Christopher ran wide to miss some lapped traffic, steering problem, His steering wheel, did not lock on right, seems funny to me as he had done about 12 laps by this stage, (Steven and Neil Berry had a look at it yesterday afternoon, will be fixed before Carnarvon this weekend). Christopher did try to lodge a protest but the chief steward Tom Lynch refused to accept it. Not sure how this can happen, but it did. Steven was very happy as you could all imagine, I am in the process of writing a letter of complaint to the WAQMA regarding the cheif stewart Tom Lynch. We didnot get wet, but it was not cold just freezing.
Congralutions to Ashton Jupp for finishing the state title race, she did really well in #3 first time she had driven it. Casey Burges won the seniors, Casey started racing in #73 project car from PCYC, so we were very proud. Daniel was 5th I think.
