After receiving the news that there had been a new post on the Geraldton City Speedway site I proceeded to login to view the posting.
I have to say that I found the posting completely inappropriate for a club website. Not only was the posting inappropriate to be broadcast to the web world, but the artwork that the site controller attached was offensive to club members not involved in the decision making process. As well as this you have to consider that the Geraldton City Speedway website is a source of information for visiting drivers looking to race at the club during the incoming 2009/2010 season......don't think I need to remind everyone that the club is hosting the Junior State Title this year.
How do you think that visiting drivers would view the current posting on the Geraldton City Speedway website given they probably don't have a history or background of the club operations???
I find it completely inexcusable that one family believes that they have the right to post personal opinions on a club website that is designed to promote the club, not run it and its members into the ground.
I understand that the family involved feels that they have issues to raise, and I am not saying that these are unjustified given that I don't know the full information of recent decisions, however it is a pertinent time for all involved to act professionally and maturely NOT in a manner that will affect the club reputation.

i think it is a priority to get a web site up and running for the sake of the club, considering we have numerous big sprint car and sedan events this season.i am sure the committee will organise the correct person to maintain and update the site all the time as it is an important tool for information .i would hope fotos and driver profiles will happen as it will become a great site for visiting drivers ...........dave

After recent conversation with various committee members , at an after BUSY BEE drinks & ideas session, i have the utmost of faith in our current committee that the geraldton speedway, will move forward in a positive direction after recent events. ( not beacuse of recent resignations from the committee) but solely because the committee believes that the geradlton city speedway can be the best country speedway club in W.A. ( if not the best club in W.A.). Hopefully we can leave the past behind us and all work towards a bright future
